Here are some things that we could really use:

Dog Stuff

  • Crates:
    • extra large (#500)
    • giant (#700)
    • crate pads
  • Chews for dogs in kennels:
    • large femur/knuckle bones
    • extra-large rawhides
    • large Gumabones (by Nylabone) *no hard plastic Nylabones*
  • Collars: size 26" or bigger
    • nylon/leather with buckle
    • choke chains
  • Leashes: nylon/leather
    • 3' for adoption days
    • 6' for walking
  • Dog food (cans or kibble) (lamb and rice does best for most dogs)
  • Dog treats, biscuits
  • Dog dishes (metal preferred; some dogs are allergic to plastic)
  • Sheepskin or plush dog toys
  • Pet Tabs or dog vitamins
  • Grooming supplies: brushes, shampoo, etc.
  • Flea and tick control products such as Frontline or Defend (which can be purchased at Costco)
  • Extra large plastic dog igloos or houses
  • Keflex (Cephalexin) 500mg (generic infection medication)

Supplies

  • Clean blankets, towels, sheets, rugs

 

Services

  • Foster homes
  • Veterinary services
  • Low-cost or no-cost dog boarding facilities
  • Short-term boarding for dogs just rescued from local shelters
  • Transportation of dogs between locations
  • Pick-up of dogs rescued from local shelters
  • Advertising, any media

Miscellaneous

  • EZ-Up 10x10 or 12x12 pop-up canopy for mobile adoption events
  • Wooden or plastic 5' and 6' tables for events
  • Donated vehicles - These can be sold at auction to benefit GSRNC (tax receipts will be provided)
  • Financial donations to help more dogs in crisis
